Club Get-together
Our November get-together brought 26 of our members together as we shared a brunch/lunch at the "White Pines Restaurant" and the food
was great - and believe me - no one went away hungry! When we arrived at the "Dan Edler Glass Studio" in Cedarville he was blowing
glass - and that was an experience. The way he could flip the glass pieces that he was working on - and not break them - was just
amazing. He has been doing this for over 45 years and all his works will be keepsakes.
Not far down the road from the glass studio was the "Famous Fossil Winery" where we stopped for wine tasting and cheese & crackers.
There were an awful lot of bottles being taken home to enjoy! We did all this and some of the guys got home in time to see the game!

NICC Fall Run
Bob and Jeri Elliott planned the Fall Run this year. Twenty-six cars met at the Visitor Center in Freeport
and traveled 250 miles through the Southwestern Wisconsin countryside on a beautiful fall day.
Our first stop was Yellowstone Lake State Park for rolls and coffee. We all enjoyed the view of the beautiful lake.
Next we stopped at the Dickeyville Grotto. It was such an interesting place to see.
From there we traveled to Petosi Brewing Company for a delicious lunch.
We wandered around the brewery and in a little shop across the street selling locally made gifts.
Then we drove to Cassville and through Dewey Nelson State Park to view
the beautiful scenery overlooking the Mississippi River. Then we were on to Schullsburg for a little shopping and cheese buying.
We ended our beautiful day at Beaches in Lena for some great food and conversation.

NICC Bowling Party
So, in the midst of all the rain, thunder and even a little hail bringing in Spring,
16 NICC club members met at the 4 Seasons Bowling Alley in Freeport. 9 people bowled.
The 7 others watched and cheered them on. After 2 games of bowling all of us went to eat at Route 20 Bar and Grill.
They have some wonderful food !!! Some of us had the Italian Beef and some had the Sunday
special of Broasted Chicken. YUMMY !

NICC Photo Party
Our first Photo Party took place on Saturday, February 19th.
There were 17 people in attendance.
NOTE to self: When inviting guests to a "photo" party and asking them to bring appetizers, be more clear that the appetizer
should be edible not a "photo" of an appetizer (Bob Adams)! Seriously, what a fantastic fun time we had at the photo party!
Lots of fantastic appetizers (as always) and a big "THANK YOU" once again to Janet Piefer for the amazing desserts.
We are glad to say the "Stump the Others" table really did "stump" everyone. However, apologies should be made -
Fen ~ We are sorry that more people thought your young man photo belonged to Doug, and
Louise ~ We are sorry that most of the guests thought that was Tauna's baby picture instead of yours.
It was fun guessing, but in the end, Louise Gorsch had the best eyes and won the "Stump" prize by guessing 11 correctly.
She received a really cool Corvette serving tray.
Later in the evening we decided to play
the newlywed game and Betty Beuth was nice enough to ask the questions.
We had 10 questions for the men and 10 questions for the ladies.
The star couples, who knew each other the best, were Fen & Doris Hicks, John & Robbie Mink, Kerry & Kim Lopin and Leon & Louise Gorsch.
Each couple received a $5.00 gift card to Panera Bread.
The spread of photos to look at that everyone brought was quite interesting. We will have to say the most beautiful picture was Betty in her stewardess uniform. Some things do not change with age, Betty!
Thanks again to all that came and we hope you had as much fun as we did
hosting the party!

Annual "Winter Party" at Cliffbreakers
Fifty-two members attended and we started the evening with appetizers and the beverage of their choice.
We enjoyed a great dinner of Filet Mignon & and Herb Crusted Chicken - the service was exceptional,
and there were also cookies & ice cream for dessert.
All the table centerpieces were won by ticket drawings - Gary & Anne Vosberg donated a gift
certificate from their company "Vtech Corvette", as well as some caps & t-shirts donated by Jack Wilson and Arnie Bailey.
Of course the highlight of the evening was the "gift exchange". In the past it has been a "White Elephant"
exchange and sometimes the gifts got pretty bad so we notched it up a bit and decided to try a better "grade"
of gifts - and everyone sure stepped up with that, and we had some pretty good gifts! The fun comes of course when
the "real" exchange happens! A gift can be exchanged two times - ending with the third person who gets to keep the gift.
There was great conversation, lots of laughter, and of course President Brick Logan razing Harry & Cheryl Pointon -
long time members who were attending their last function with us before their big move to the Carolinas.
Hosts for the evening were Fen & Doris Hicks, Bob & Jeri Elliott, Royce & Janet Piefer.

Going Away Party
This year's events started off with a going away party for long-time members Harry & Cheryl Pointon
who will be moving to South Carolina at the end of the January 2011. The party was held on the 15th of January
and hosted by Brick & Kris Logan and Royce & Janet Piefer at the Logan home.
There were 52 members who joined together to give them a good send-off and a parting
gift was presented from all members and there was so much food and enjoyment to go around.
We are surely going to miss them - "Save the Wave".
